Frequently Asked Questions
Here you find the most frequently asked questions. If you have further questions, reach out to us. We are happy to help you. You can reach us in our office at Westring 55 in 44787 Bochum, via email at info@abc-duecomy.de and via phone at 0234/65572.
Do I need an appointment?
You do not need an appointment at our office. If you need a translation, you can just come into our office during our opening hours or you can send us an email with the documents you want translated. We respond with an offer for the translation as soon as possible.
Do you also translate into the language xyz?
We offer more than 50 languages. It is very likely that we offer the language you need. You can request an offer in person in our office or via email.
How much does my document cost?
We have individual prices for most documents. Depending on the effort and language the prices can vary. However, we do have a minimum fee of 50€ for short documents and standard documents like birth certificates. Again, it also depends on the requested language. Some languages are more expensive than others because there are less sworn translators.
How long does the translation take?
Depending on the length and language of the translation, the processing time varies. For standard documents like birth- and death certificates we usually calculate two to three workdays. However, it also depends on whether the translator must send us the translation via mail or not.
How does an order work, if I choose your services?
When you confirm the order in writing and either transfer the full amount or pay a deposit of approximately half the full amount in our office, we refer the order to the respective translator. When the translation is ready for pickup, we’ll contact you and you can pick up your translation during our opening hours.
Will administrative office accept the translations?
The short answer is: yes.
Our translators are state-approved and sworn in, and our certified translations are accepted at all administrative offices in Germany. We advise that you tell us when placing the order what office the translation is for, since each office has their own requirements.
Can I get my translation delivered by mail?
Generally, we can send you the translations via mail as well, but we advise sending it via certified mail, since we can only guarantee a safe delivery this way. This is especially important when you want us to send back your translations with the original documents you might have left in our office or if resending the translation would take much time, for example when the translator has to send us another copy via mail themselves first.
